Edward W. Ricci II — Distinguished Executive

Portsmouth, RI — Edward W. Ricci II is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Executive for his work in the Fabric industry and in acknowledgment of his work at Ocean State Innovations.

Mr. Ricci is the CEO of Ocean State Innovations. A family company, Ocean State Innovations, was founded by Mr. Ricci’s grandfather in 1947 and passed down through the generations. An executive of multiple fabric production businesses under the B&O name, Mr. Ricci has 22 years of experience in the field.

The company provides fabric manufacturing for a wide array of industries and uses. The fabric produced at Ocean State Innovations is used for sneakers, apparel, tactical gear, commercial fabrics, outerwear, and specialty applications. Mr. Ricci is proud to provide fabric for the US military. The brand, which also does business under the name Brand & Oppenheimer Co., has been a supplier to the US military for many years. The company owns the exclusive international distributor rights to a licensed camouflage pattern used by the United States Army, called MultiCam. They create top-quality apparel with added benefits such as DWR, UV inhibitors, and moisture management finishes.

Mr. Ricci is involved with multiple businesses spanning from his family’s textile operations. The companies have a vast capacity for product creation – they work with P&B Textiles for wholesale printed fabrics, ColorWorks for premier dyeing and finishing, and Cutting Edge Texstyles for bindings and trims. They create high-visibility materials with Performance Textiles, and distribute products through 1947 LLC and B&O, both of which specialize in Military-grade apparel. Mr. Ricci is familiar with all types of fabrics, including nylon, polyester, cotton, canvas, vinyl, and more, which can be dyed and coated with special finishes to customize the product to a company’s exact specifications. In 2003, Mr. Ricci became a Managing Partner at Ricci Management Group in Portsmouth, RI. He manages numerous types of alternative investments, including properties, acreage holdings, cannabis, and restaurants. In 2004 he began another role, working as the CEO and Managing Director of Duro Textiles/Patriarch Partners. Here, Mr. Ricci supervised over 6,000 textile employees who created textiles sold internationally. In 2014, Mr. Ricci left this role and became the Co-Founder of 1947 LLC, a full-service textile solution provider with a focus on military and tactical products. He added another executive role to his portfolio with a position as the CEO of Brand and Oppenheimer Co., where he remains today.

He attended college at Boston College, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Marketing, and Support Services. He then attended Bryant University, where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Management and Operations in 1997.

Mr. Ricci is a people person, and attributes his success to his respect and kindness to all of his employees. As for his future goals, he hopes to bring the company’s success to over $120 million, reach other benchmark goals, and increase his high-value network contacts. He remains associated with the NCTO and IFAI.
