Friendswood, TX – Ernestine Cuellar, Ph.D., PMH, CNS-bc, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Lifetime Achiever in the field of psychiatry as a retired advanced practice nurse.
Dr. Cuellar has 52 years’ experience in the mental health industry. She retired recently as of December 2019. She served as a Mental Health Nurse in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Before her time as a psychiatrist Dr. Cueller attended school University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for nursing in 1990. She later studied at the University of Texas Medical Branch to earn her Doctorate degree in 2006. Following her Doctorate, Dr. Cueller attended Norfolk State for her Associate Degree and University of Health Science Center for her ABN and Masters.
A pillar in the psychiatry community, Dr. Cuellar was the author and co-author of 20 articles, and the primary author of 15 poster sessions. She is a Distinguished Alumni and President of the University Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Nursing Alumni Association, and National Sojourner Truth Award from the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs. To this day, Ernestine Cuellar maintains her affiliations with ANA, State Texas Nurse Association, Board of Directors, and President T&A District. She also takes her time to donate to mothers who are not married and Our Daily Bread.
