Jacksonville, FL – Esther Gartman, MD, ARNP, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Healthcare Professional for her noteworthy career in the Medical field and in acknowledgment of her outstanding work at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital.
With nearly 50 years of expertise, Esther Gartman, MD, ARNP, is a respected registered nurse and medical doctor experienced in nursing cardiology, pediatric trauma nursing, and general medicine. She has been treating patients at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, for the past 20 years.
Dr. Gartman has always desired to help others. Since volunteering in healthcare from the age of 11, she felt a deep-rooted connection to caring for people, as she had watched many of her loved ones live with various health-related issues. To pursue her career in medicine, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Pediatrics and a Master of Science in Pediatrics. She completed a second Master’s Degree in cardiology and a third in trauma nursing. In 1973 she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and earned her Medical Degree in 2007.
As a registered nurse and an advanced registered nurse practitioner, Dr. Gartman has accrued decades of professional experience as a pediatric trauma nurse in Jacksonville. Over the years, the doctor has assisted other physicians and nurses in delivering infants and has worked in cardiology. Notably, in 2020, she helped build and establish an entire pediatrics hospital.
Among her numerous career achievements, Dr. Gartman is most proud of watching the progress of her youngest son, who was born with a slight case of cerebral palsy, go on to attend culinary school and work in a restaurant. She is honored to have won first place in a senior pageant for ages 50 to 60. Reflecting on her illustrious career thus far, Dr. Gartman attributes her success to her family for always supporting her and giving her the initial inspiration and reason to go into the medical profession. Likewise, she thanks her aunt and uncle for supporting her financially through college. She initially pursued a two-year program for nursing, but her uncle encouraged her not to take the short path and instead achieve a four-year degree. In addition, Dr. Gartman also offers her utmost gratitude to her career mentor and phenomenal medical specialist, the late Dr. Joseph Fares.
On a personal note, Dr. Gartman enjoys spending time with her children and her 5-year-old granddaughter and her time at church.
