Lake Forest, IL — Judith Schneebeck Bensinger, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Professional in the Healthcare Field.
Dr. Bensinger received a B.A. in Biochemistry at Northwestern University in 1963 and earned a medical degree in 1968. She worked in private practice at North Shore Medical Services and specialized in treating adolescents with eating disorders. According to Dr. Bensinger, North Shore Medical Services was a group practice in suburban Chicago that specialized in family and internal medicine. The doctor also opened a primary care clinic in Springfield, IL.
Dr. Bensinger notes that she was a pioneering physician, training the first nurse practitioners in a federal program from the state of Illinois. She also became an Occupational Medical Physician for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and NASA Space Center.
Dr. Bensinger has been named in the 10 Outstanding Women in America, an honor that she received at the White House under President Ford. She also received an award from Operation Push. She is a member of the American Medical Association.
Since her retirement, the doctor loves spending time with family and traveling.
