Portland, OR — kacy l. borba spann, ND, LAc (she/they) is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Distinguished Naturopathic Physician & Acupuncturist in the field of Medicine and for her professional excellence as the Owner of Quercus Natural Health.

Having established a well-deserved reputation in the field of Naturopathic Medicine, dr. kacy is currently providing a wide array of Naturopathic Medicine (known as functional medicine in the conventional medical model), Classical Chinese medicine, and Acupuncture services at Quercus Natural Health. She has two practice locations in Portland, Oregon, Pohala Clinic at 7477 SE 52nd Ave and Portland Family Health at 4004 SE Woodstock Blvd #4. Dr. kacy takes pride in being a very hands-on practitioner with a strong belief in the value of therapeutic touch which can include: acupuncture, non-insertive acupuncture, bodywork (myofascial release, channel work, craniosacral, abdominal massage), injection therapy, spinal manipulation, nasal specifics, holistic pelvic therapy. In addition to these services, Dr. kacy facilitates various workshops and retreats which has included Healing Birth Trauma Workshops with Monicka Koneski since 2018, 13 Moons Intergenerational Retreat since 2016, The Juvenescent Moon: A Womb Cycle Course for those new to bleeding to begin Fall 2020, and The Business of Being a Doctor with Tameka Thompson of Silver Lining Adj. since 2019.

In light of her academic achievements, dr. kacy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Healthcare, a major she designed, from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She received her ND and MSOM (Master of Science in Oriental Medicine) both from the National University of Natural Medicine in Oregon.

Remaining abreast of the latest advancements in her field, dr. kacy maintains active memberships with the Oregon Association of Acupuncturists, Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She donates her clinical skills to the Returning Veterans Project, found at https://returningveterans.org/, providing pro-bono visits. As a testament to her professional success, dr. kacy  is the recipient of the Top Doctor’s Women in Medicine 2020 and was voted 2015’s best Acupuncturist in Beaverton for Acupuncture treatment and services as reviewed by patients. She is also an Open Care Patient’s Choice Winner in Beaverton, Oregon.

In her spare time, dr. kacy likes to be in motion whether walking, skateboarding, dancing, hula hooping, or playing with her three-year-old son. She loves to be in nature with her bare feet on the earth near bodies of moving water. When she is with the ocean tides on a full moon she feels most connected to our creator. She finds peace and creative outlet as alone time in the kitchen prepping healthy, flavorful meals for her family and within her healing work. She believes there’s no better dessert than a chocolate chip cookie and that we all deserve to treat ourselves. She strives to find what is to love in each soul she meets.

dr. kacy is happily married to Mr. Desmond Spann (a high school teacher and freestyle emcee community leader) for 4 years, and together for 11. They have 2 children.
