Chapel Hill, NC— Larry J. Moray, DDS, MS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Trusted Healthcare Professional for his contributions to the Dental field.
Dr. Moray earned a B.S. in bio-psychology (multi-disciplinary) from Vassar College in 1978. He began a Ph.D. program in neurobiology from Chapel Hill in 1979. He later completed dental training (DDS) at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Dentistry and spent one year in a hospital dental residency in Hampton, VA. The doctor taught at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU/MCV) School of Dentistry and managed the hospital dental clinic at MCV Hospitals in Richmond, VA, from 1991 to 1994. He then completed his residency in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Moray serves the community with multiple offices throughout North Carolina, including Burgaw; Carey; Chapel Hill; Concord; Durham; Fayetteville; Greensboro; Mount Airy; Raleigh; Roanoke Rapids; Rocky Mount; Sanford; and Wake Forest. The doctor notes that he works with Medicaid patients and is proud to help disadvantaged people who would not be able to afford proper dental care. He has developed his own clear alignment system, which has patents pending and is now FDA approved.
Dr. Moray has more than 32 years of experience in the field and brings a unique perspective to his practice. His life philosophy has been to enjoy the richness of life’s many experiences, which permeates all his endeavors. Dr. Moray opened his first office at Preston Corners after graduation in 1997. The MyOrthodontist group of dental professionals now serves ten communities throughout North Carolina. According to Dr. Moray, the practice takes an individualized approach to care, offering orthodontic services for the whole family, including adult braces, teen braces, and children’s orthodontics. The doctor and his wife founded The Happy Tooth Foundation, which addresses food insecurity and provides all materials necessary for children to attend summer camps. He partners with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the Salvation Army for this effort.
The doctor and his wife, Jin Yi Kwon, DDS, have been married for 20 years and have two children: Avidan and Elijah.
