Raj Doppalapudi — President and Founder

Somerset, NJ— Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Raj Doppalapudi is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Life Member for his contributions to the field of Specialty Chemicals.

Mr. Doppalapudi pursued higher education at the National Institute of Sales and Marketing where he earned a postgraduate degree. He then attended St. Xavier’s College where he earned a second postgraduate diploma.

Mr. Doppalapudi is currently the Country Head for Privi Speciality Chemicals USA. His experience leading up to this elite position came from many years of training and professional development in techno-commercial sales, including a prior post handling sales in the European markets. Seeking to expand growth opportunities for Privi’s presence in the North and South American markets, he relocated in 2013 to the United States and launched this branch of the company from ground zero. In the first year of this position, Mr. Doppalapudi hit the milestone of $1 million in revenue and has since grown that profit to $30 million in 2022. He adds that during these years, he has learned valuable skills in cross-functional activities in sales that have enabled him to expand into distribution and diversity into warehousing and trading.

When reflecting on his career, Mr. Doppalapudi asserts that he is most proud of establishing Privi’s footprints in New Jersey with sales expanding across the U.S. and Latin America. He said that Privi now has a strong product dominance of pine-based ingredients in a very highly competitive market and that he believes the cornerstone of his success lay in his philosophy “work hard and keep going even if you have failures”; faith; hard work; perseverance; desire to learn; and family’s support. Always seeking excellence, Mr. Doppalapudi aligns himself with several professional organizations to help him expand his network, including Women in Flavor and Fragrance Commerce, Inc.

Looking to the future, Mr. Doppalapudi plans to increase the company’s shares, expand the business in the U.S., and increase revenue to $50 million by the end of 2030. He additionally aims to increase revenue at Salt Logistics LLC from $1.5 million to $10 million by having multiple warehouses and expanding the team.

Aside from his professional pursuits, Mr. Doppalapudi enjoys visiting India and reading. He would like to dedicate this honor to his parents and thank them for their love and support.
