Westfield, NJ— Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Robert Fuhrman, MD, is acknowledged as a Lifetime Achiever 2023-2024 for his contributions to the field of Endocrinology.
Dr. Fuhrman pursued higher education at Clark University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai.
With more than 50 years of experience in the field, Dr. Fuhrman is an expert in treating conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease as well as medical issues in the military. He is a member of many professional organizations including the Endocrine Society; American College of Endocrinology; and the American Diabetes Association.
When considering his illustrious career, Dr. Fuhrman credits his mentors, Dr. Yallow and Dr. Solomon Burson, and also his philosophy that he treats every patient, even if they cannot afford it. In fact, the doctor is coming out of retirement to continue taking care of patients who cannot afford treatment, emphasizing his dedication to providing medical care to those in need.
Dr. Fuhrman’s greatest accomplishment to date is his successful tenure of 50 years in the field making a difference in his patients’ lives. Aside from his professional pursuits, the doctor enjoys spending time with his family. He would like express gratitude to his wife, Susan, and thank her for her love and support.
