Shawna L. DeGraff-Roberson, DO, FAOI — Distinguished Internist

Arvada, CO — Shawna L. DeGraff-Roberson, DO, FAOI, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Internist for her work in the Medical field and in acknowledgment of her work at Family Health Care Center.

Dr. DeGraff-Roberson treats patients with acupuncture and prolotherapy, alongside ultrasound-guided injections. She is an expert in non-surgical orthopedic techniques.

In her current role, Dr. DeGraff-Roberson works with patients at the Family Health Care Center in Arvada, CO. Established in 1987, the practice provides care to people of all ages in order to provide high-quality healthcare. Patients visit the practice to receive traditional care with Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, Oriental Medicine, and Naturopathic Medicine.  Dr. DeGraff-Roberson examines her patients and talks with them to understand their symptoms. She can then diagnose their issues, and provide treatment and a plan to prevent further problems. Dr. DeGraff-Roberson treats patients with both common and complex diseases. She is additionally affiliated with the Lutheran Medical Center, and sees patients via telehealth services.

She first completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and her Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Next, she completed a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. To continue her training, she then took on a residency in Internal Medicine at the Broward General Medical Center, followed by a Fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment at Larkin Community Hospital.

As a result of her education, she is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who have met their criteria. Dr. DeGraff-Roberson is additionally board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM).

With around six years in Medical practice, the doctor works with each of her patients one-on-one to assure the best outcomes. She is well-versed in ultrasound-guided injections, PRP, and non-surgical orthopedics. Dr. DeGraff-Roberson works with the next generation of doctors, allowing Medical students to shadow her as she works with patients.

Dr. DeGraff-Roberson is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Osteopathic Internal Medicine, the Florida Medical Association, and the Cranial Academy.
