Growing up in Bulgaria, Dr. Nikolova was surrounded by family members who were teaching doctors. She lived in a building with many other families from the university parents taught at, immersing her in a “village of knowledge.” This made her want to be a doctor from a young age. After graduating from university, she relocated to the United States, spending seven years working in New York, then moving to Atlanta, GA, in 2015.

Dr. Nikolova graduated from the University of Sofia in Bulgaria with her MD. She did her residency at Rochester School of Medicine in New York, and completed a Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.
On a personal note, she speaks Bulgarian, Russian, and English. In her free time, Dr. Nikolova enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old daughter, visiting museums, and going to the beach.
