For more than six decades years he has specialized in preventing, mitigating, and resolving daunting business issues, including violence, false rumors, reputational attacks, and other C-Suite disruptions including terrorism or its threats.
Exhibiting a wealth of knowledge and extensive skills to protect and preserve brand equity for agency clients, he maintains a strict rule of advisor-patron confidentiality. Mr. Preston, accredited by an elected member of the pr society of America college of fellows , earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. A battalion-size unit Commanding Officer serving in the U.S. Army, he studied foreseeability and propaganda at the University of Washington’s Graduate School, and completed the 6th Army’s Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Warfare course before engaging enemy agents and terrorists transnationally.
Later, in 2008, when appointed Executive Director of Kentucky’s Office of Homeland Security, the U.S. Army War College chose Mr. Preston to attend its National Security Program.
A native of Carrollton, KY, he founded his primary business in 1968. What first began a one-person, two-client firm has grown into a world-renowned consultancy. Periodically taking temporary leaves of absence from his enterprises, Mr. Preston held multiple state and federal appointments, including roles as Senior Advisor for two Governors and a U.S. Senator. He also has been an adjunct professor at four universities, which continues periodically, owned community newspapers, and is a national public speaker.
In honor of his long and distinguished career, Mr. Preston, a recipient of many lifetime achievements and other such awards, was inducted into the University of Kentucky’s “2021 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.” He recently established residency Murfreesboro, TN.
