Wale Charles Abolarin — Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer

Dr. Abolarin earned a Doctorate of Medicine in anesthesiology from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 2009. He then transferred his studies to the United States and attended the University of South Florida where he received a graduate certificate in 2016 and a Master’s degree both in health informatics in 2017. He also has extensive certifications in various disciplines via LinkedIn and the Cerner Corporation, including information technology architect; Power Chart builder; and leadership.

Touting more than 10 years in the field, Dr. Abolarin is the chief executive officer and chief medical information officer of Helix Healthcare Inc., a provider of developmental disability care and supporter of local communities around Maryland. The doctor asserts that Helix Healthcare is driven to help patients and their families gain equitable access to healthcare; employment; job training; and education, as well as offering transportation services; nurse care; remote support; and respite care.

Dr. Abolarin has held numerous roles at medical companies and facilities prior to his current post, including the McLaren Health Care Corporation; Midland Memorial Hospital; the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; the MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital; Alpha Dental Care; and several hospitals in Nigeria. Dedicated to offering the latest developments in the field, Dr. Abolarin is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives; the Nigerian Medical Association; the American Society of Anesthesiology; and the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, for which he has been the vice president and treasurer.

Among his most honored accomplishments, he is most proud to have worked as a sepsis advisor at the McLaren Health Care Corporation, during which time he devised a solution for correctly diagnosing sepsis.
