Wayne H. Phelps, Ph.D. – Top Distinguished Leader

Canton, NY – Wayne H. Phelps, Ph.D., is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Distinguished Leader for his outstanding contributions in the field of Education and acknowledgement of his unwavering commitment as past Director of Planning and Education in Higher Education and Academic Administration.

Today, Dr. Phelps is a retired Director of Planning and having accrued over 40 years of vast knowledge and professional experience in Higher Education and Academic Administration. Throughout his acclaimed career, he was highly involved with the management and coordination of various programs and activities for West Virginia Board of Regents in Charleston, WV, as well as the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia research associate of academy programs.

To prepare for his career, Dr. Phelps gained valuable extensive training and excelled seamlessly. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Princeton University, and since then has been flourishing in his professional endeavors.  An experienced educator himself, Dr. Phelps has served as an editorial consultant of self-study with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg as well as the board of directors for the Friends of Owen D. Young and Launders Libraries at St. Lawrence University. Dr. Phelps’s proficiency in teaching came with his responsibilities as both a teacher and student personal officer with the University of Pennsylvania.

A published author, Dr. Phelps has published several articles throughout his career sharing his breadth of knowledge with his peers. Today, he remains an active member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Mu Epsilon.
