Steven K. Gathers is a higher education technology leader recognized for his expertise in strategic transformation, enterprise information technology, and organizational change management. He provides leadership and oversight for IT operations, including cybersecurity, help desk management, enterprise systems, and long term technology strategy. Mr. Gathers holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management and a master’s degree in Higher Education Change Management from Buffalo State University. Throughout his career, he has championed a holistic, stakeholder driven approach to designing technology solutions that align people, processes, and innovation. He is credited with coining the term “institutional intelligence,” a concept focused on leveraging data, breaking down information silos, and creating more informed decision making across organizations. Outside of his professional work, Mr. Gathers is a triathlete, golfer, and DJ.
