Buddy Lee is a respected professional in the power generation industry with expertise in power plant design and engineering, power generation projects, maintenance and reliability programs, outage management, and the generation and delivery of power. He holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee and is completing a Doctor of Business Administration degree through South College. Throughout his career, Mr. Lee has contributed to projects involving nuclear power and gas fired generation facilities while working with one of the nation’s leading design firms. He currently serves as an elected board member of Appalachian Electric Cooperative, which serves 56,000 members and operates with a budget of approximately 100 million dollars, where he remains focused on maintaining reasonable costs for cooperative members. An advocate for innovation, he has published work including AI in Vibration and was featured on the cover of Hydro Leader in 2024. He has also presented at approximately 30 conferences on artificial intelligence and industry advancements. Looking ahead, Mr. Lee plans to launch a podcast and teach as an adjunct business professor.
