Kim Kontz is a seasoned leader in the oil and gas midstream pipeline industry, specializing in safety management, incident analysis, and team development. With more than four decades of experience, he has established a strong reputation for blending the science of safety with practical field expertise, consistently achieving safety records that surpass the national average and earning more than 50 industry awards. A respected figure in construction safety, he has co-authored a white paper for INGA, spoken at major industry conventions, and received honors such as the DCA Award, the Gary E. Bird National Award, and the Horizon Award. As co-chair of the Common Ground Alliance and a certified instructor with NCCER, Kontz is committed to shaping the next generation of leaders in safety and construction. Beyond his career, he is most proud of being a husband, father of three, grandfather of fifteen, and great-grandfather of three, and enjoys working on his hobby farm.
