Phillip Bock, PhD is the CEO of a forward-thinking instructional design system focused on building a disruptive paradigm for talent and education. With expertise in content design, learning design processes, and LMS solutions, Phillip leads the AILCN Consultant Network and is committed to transforming how people learn and perform in dynamic environments.
A decorated United States Army veteran with 20 years of service and eight tours in Iraq, Phillip pivoted to education when he was directed to “go to the school house in the Army.” He earned his PhD in Instructional Design from the University of Arizona in December 2022, alongside master’s degrees in Human Performance Technology and Instructional Design from the same university.
His innovative mindset has taken him as far as working with Blue Origin for Jeff Bezos. He is also a founding member of the Association of Talent Development and AILCN, continually shaping the future of learning and performance.
Phillip is deeply proud of his family: his daughter, a multimedia production expert, and his son, who is studying psychology, both at the University of South Alabama. He plans to publish his first book, INSPIRE, in August 2025, which will share his vision for inspired learning and neurodiversity in education — the subject of his dissertation.
When not designing learning systems, Phillip enjoys restoring classic cars and flying drones.
