About Me
Alexis India Alm, CEO, is a respected executive coach and nonprofit leadership expert, specializing in guiding CEOs of mission-driven organizations through strategic growth, organizational development, and purpose-driven leadership. With a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Administration from North Park University (2012) and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership in progress at the American College of Education (to be completed in 2027), Alexis combines academic excellence with hands-on executive experience.
Deeply involved in the sector, Alexis serves on the Board of Directors for the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, is Treasurer of the Driskill Foundation, and is an active leader with NANOE, the Chamber of Commerce, and other professional associations including NACH Gift Planners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She also teaches a Capstone course, helping to mentor the next generation of nonprofit professionals.
Her published work includes articles for AFP’s Power and Influence series, and she is currently writing a book on Planned Giving. Personally, Alexis is proudest of raising three accomplished children—an insurance professional, a doctor, and an architect/interior designer—with her husband and two younger children rounding out her deeply valued family.
An ordained minister, church violinist, and Finance Committee officer, Alexis leads with integrity and spiritual grounding. Looking ahead, her goal is to continue coaching CEOs, helping them uncover clarity, courage, and capacity. Her philosophy is rooted in continual growth and reflection: “Where’s the lesson in this?” and “Always be better.”
