Edward Benifield, a dedicated leader and an Ambassador for the Heroic Hearts Project, is a Vietnam-era Marine dedicated to improving veterans’ health. He leads a start-up focused on developing a health platform to support veterans returning from combat, with an emphasis on alternative medicine, holistic wellness, and spiritual practices to address PTSD and other injuries while gradually moving away from traditional pharmaceuticals.
With an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management (2009), Edward’s advocacy work includes initiating compliance requirements and collaborating with psychedelic integrators to enhance recovery options through psychedelics. He educates and raises awareness through blogs and articles on platforms like Blogger, Medium and LinkedIn. Edward is passionate about influencing legislation that supports alternative medicine for veterans, reducing stigma around psilocybin, and improving access to essential recovery resources.
His work is inspired by his family, especially his grandmother, who instilled in him the values of introspection and helping others heal both mentally and physically.
