Gary J. Salamido, CEO, is a business advocacy leader serving as the head of a statewide Chamber of Commerce in North Carolina, representing 22 industries and overseeing a 12-million dollar organization. In his role, he leads external facing advocacy efforts, supports business growth initiatives, and oversees programs including small business health insurance offerings and board level engagement across the business community. With a Master’s degree in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Texas, Mr. Salamido brings a strong background in public and governmental affairs, including prior experience with GlaxoSmithKline. He is affiliated with organizations such as the Rotary, Sons of Italy, Knights of Columbus, the United States Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Manufacturers, and St. Andrew the Apostle. Recognized among the 500 Most Influential and Power 500 in North Carolina, he is also a keynote speaker and Vistage member. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, wine collecting, and spending time with his three grandchildren while continuing to strengthen business advocacy across North Carolina.
