About Me
George Omiros is a veteran leader in non-profit management, with over 45 years of industry experience and the last four spent in an executive role overseeing a multifaceted organization built around The Four Pillars: a food bank, training center, thrift store, and farm. With a Master of Science in Non-Profit Management from Central Michigan University (1986), George has consistently demonstrated excellence in managing finance, HR, and strategic operations within mission-driven organizations.
His career includes a remarkable tenure with the Leukemia Research Foundation, where he helped generate $350 million annually, earning recognition as the #1 Fundraiser and the Outstanding Fundraising Executive in 1990. He holds active affiliations with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council, ASE, CAE, CFRF, and has contributed to 20 Rotary organizations and numerous Masonic groups.
George is most proud of being a father to two great children and a devoted grandfather, often enjoying time with his 7-year-old grandchild, traveling, and working with stained glass art. A high lay member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church since 2001, George lives by the values of high integrity with philanthropic donors and the guidance he received from great mentors early in his career. His legacy is one of service, trust, and unwavering commitment to community impact.
