About Me
Hany Said, CEO and pioneer in desalination technology, is the innovator behind a patented, energy-efficient water treatment system that works on all types of water—a revolutionary advancement developed in collaboration with UCLA. His work has helped transform global access to clean water, including major partnerships with H2O Innovation and ROPV in China, and pivotal contributions to the Saudi Water Company, the world’s largest desalination entity.
A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State LA, Hany brings over four decades of engineering and executive leadership experience. He previously led American Engineering Services and American Advanced Water Technology, both of which were acquired by global players, including KSAI and My Water, one of the top water companies worldwide.
An esteemed member of the American Membrane Technology Association and the International Desalination Reuse of Water Association, Hany has authored numerous patents, white papers, and global presentations, earning accolades such as the Innovation Award of the Year in Saudi Arabia (2024) and being short-listed for the European Flame Award.
Outside of his professional achievements, he finds his greatest joy in spending time with his three grandchildren, to whom he dedicates his success. Through his continued work, Hany is focused on commercializing new technologies that further redefine sustainability in water access—guided by his unwavering faith and belief in innovation’s power to serve humanity.
