About Me
Dr. Kia C. Price, PhD, is a dedicated leader in federal, state, and local housing, with a focus on helping vulnerable populations, particularly the homeless in Louisiana. With a PhD in HR and Healthcare Administration from Capella University (2014), she excels in interpreting and simplifying complex governmental concepts and regulations for practical implementation. Overseeing a team of 12, Dr. Price has spearheaded significant initiatives, including Louisiana’s largest St. John's Parish housing contract, FEMA’s first recycling project, and hurricane-related funeral protocols—both of which are still in use today.

A committed advocate for impactful change, she founded the nonprofit The Forgotten War to address unmet needs in underserved communities. Outside of her career, Dr. Price enjoys working out with her daughter, a swimmer at LSU, and her son, a basketball player. Looking ahead, she plans to transition from government contracting to innovative housing solutions and consulting, leveraging her strong research and communication skills. Guided by a philosophy of service and excellence, Dr. Price continues to drive meaningful improvements in housing and community support systems.
