Nick W. Dockery III is the Vice President & Director of a prominent financial services holding company called Hilltop Holdings which encompasses PlainsCapital Bank, Prime Lending (Mortgage), and HilltopSecurities (Broker/Dealer). Nick received his bachelor’s degree in finance and internal auditing from the University of Tennessee in 2008. In addition, Nick holds several certifications and licenses including his Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Project Management Professional (PMP) FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79, Six Sigma Green belt with lean, and Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) Certificate. His expertise lies within 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line of defense risk management. Nick is a highly engaged leader with a passion for building high performing teams through a people-first centric leadership approach. Nick actively participates in executive committees, board meetings, and stakeholder discussions. Recognized for his leadership capabilities, he received the Charles Schwab Key Contributor Award in 2021. Beyond his professional commitments, Nick is involved with the American Heart Association, American Kidney Association. His future aspirations include furthering his career trajectory and enhancing his personal brand, all while maintaining a philosophy centered on hard work, humility in leadership, and active engagement with risk management professionals both internally and externally to Hilltop. In his leisure time, he enjoys being a husband, a father to two beautiful girls, a soccer coach, snowboarding, exercise, competing in Spartan/HYROX races, camping and spending time outdoors.
