About Me
Rosita L. Marinez, MSW is a committed leader in housing and mental health services, focused on providing wraparound support for high-risk individuals, particularly those facing chronic health conditions and homelessness. With a Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College (2002), she has dedicated her career to improving lives through integrated community living (ICL) services, operational oversight, and financial stewardship in the housing sector.
Rosita is an active member of the Latino Social Work Coalition, National Association of Social Work (NJ Chapter), and Latino Professionals of America, and she contributes her time to NephCure. Her passion for advocacy is also reflected in her published works, which include contributions to Social Work Today and two award-winning books addressing mentorship and imposter syndrome in the LatinX community.
Honored with accolades such as the Social Work Advancement of the Year Award (2023) and Communicator Award (2024), Rosita continues to make a lasting impact. She is most proud of her son, Branden Melo, a mechanical engineering graduate from FDU, and credits him as her greatest inspiration.
With a long-term goal to expand affordable housing access and serve in a C-suite role, Rosita’s driving philosophy is rooted in motivation, legacy, and the desire to make her son proud.
