Sheena L. Majette, CEO, is an accomplished leader in professional development and continuing education conferences and events. Her full-service conference and event consulting company, SLM Education Solutions, provides concierge-level support to keynote speakers, innovative event program solutions and full-service project management of high impact events with a global reach. As a seasoned industry leader, she delivers seamless execution for conferences and leadership training, backed by a carefully curated roster of top-tier talent.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Morgan State University (1989), Sheena brings over three decades of expertise in transformational leadership, thought leadership and operational excellence. Her affiliations include ASAE, Association of Meeting Professionals (AMPs), and formerly serving on the board of Women on the Rise Orlando, Inc. She also contributed to medical education advancement, having co-authored an article on the development of competencies for post-acute and long-term care medicine and serving as a surveyor for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. Sheena was honored as one of the Top 15 over 50 event industry professionals by Connect Association and received the Excellence in Education Award from the Global Forum for Education and Learning. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be raising her three amazing children who are all leaders in their respective industries. Passionate about giving back, she actively mentors young girls, helping them hone life skills, recognize their potential and seize opportunities.
Sheena dedicates her success to her late mother, Wilhelmina Avery, a retired Supervisor at the Library of Congress, whose legacy continues to inspire her. Looking ahead, she aims to solidify her impact as a transformational thought leader, guided by a philosophy rooted in gratitude for continued opportunities to serve this amazing industry and a commitment to growth.
