Upon completing law school, Ms. Walker returned to her home state and began working as a law clerk at The Law Office Domingo Garcia, PC from 2012 to 2014. During this time, she honed her legal skills and gained invaluable experience in various aspects of personal injury and civil litigation. She then served as a case manager at the Uvalle Law Firm between 2014 and 2015, where she further developed her expertise in negotiating and resolving complex legal cases. In 2015, Ms. Walker joined The Farmer Law Group, PLLC as the civil legal assistant and then associate attorney, where she was ingrained with the certitude to open her firm.
One of the most significant moments in Ms. Walker’s career was her first trial at The Law Office of Taryn Walker PLLC, a case she took pro-bono. This landmark case involved a dispute stemming from personality conflicts between an apartment manager and tenant. Following a series of verbal exchanges, the landlord refused to accept rent and then attempted to evict the tenant for non-payment. After the tenant was evicted by the justice of the peace court, Ms. Walker took the case on appeal, and once retried in Dallas County Court No.1, not only was the eviction overturned, allowing Ms. Walker’s client to remain on the property, but the tenant also received financial compensation.
Ms. Walker’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in management science from Tuskegee University in 2007, with a minor in business administration. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southern University Law Center in 2011. This robust educational foundation instills confidence in her clients, knowing that their legal needs are in the hands of a highly qualified professional.
