Louisville, KY — James Penny, Jr., Vice President at 2 Cents Inc., has been prominently featured in The Inner Circle as an Inner Circle Lifetime Member, recognizing his contributions to operational excellence and innovation within the spirits industry.

Mr. Penny has built a respected reputation for blending technical precision with creative product development, helping guide the production and quality standards behind the company’s growing portfolio of spirits. His work centers on delivering consistent, high-quality products while pushing boundaries in flavor and craftsmanship. Guided by his philosophy of uniting humanity one glass at a time, Mr. Penny approaches spirits as a vehicle for connection and shared experience.
He studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Louisville, where he developed the analytical foundation that now informs his approach to production systems, efficiency, and quality control in the spirits industry.
Mr. Penny’s work has earned increasing international recognition. Most notably, his brand, Audacitea™, received World’s Best Specialty Cocktail at the 2025 World Drinks Awards. Additional honors include recognition from American Whisky Magazine in 2024 and Marquis’ Emerging Leaders recognition in 2025, highlighting his contributions to product development and operational leadership.
Beyond his professional work, Mr. Penny is active in his community. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and serves as a board member emeritus of Change Today, Change Tomorrow, supporting initiatives focused on the elimination of food deserts and empowerment.
Outside the industry, Mr. Penny enjoys cigars and traveling and is most proud of his role as a father to his two daughters. He credits much of his success to the support of his family, including his wife, Brittany.
Looking ahead, Mr. Penny plans to help expand 2 Cents Inc. internationally, increasing their portfolio of spirits while continuing to build products rooted in quality, innovation, and purpose.
