Mitchell Fillet has built a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years across finance, entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and higher education. Known for combining real world business experience with a passion for teaching, he has successfully guided organizations, mentored future business leaders, and provided strategic insight to companies seeking growth and long term success.

As Chief Executive Officer of Fillet Capital Corporation, a role he assumed in 2025, Mr. Fillet provides strategic advisory services to organizations and investors seeking exceptional returns and sustainable business growth. He also continues his work as a consultant through TechnoTraining Inc., drawing upon decades of leadership experience in finance, investments, economics, and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Fillet earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from Boston University and later received a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University. He further expanded his expertise through postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His professional development also includes executive leadership and entrepreneurship training through Babson College and advanced instructional certification through Rutgers University.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fillet has held executive leadership positions with numerous organizations, including service as chief financial officer, president, founder, and chief executive officer of multiple companies. He founded Mesa Tex-Mex Inc., led The Riderwood Group and Inner Harbor Financial, and held positions with respected financial institutions including Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities, Bear Stearns, First Boston Corporation, and Dillon Read & Company.

In addition to his business accomplishments, Mr. Fillet has made significant contributions to higher education. He served as Assistant Professor of Professional Practice of Finance at Rutgers Business School and previously taught at Columbia University and Fordham University, where he also co-directed the Center for Entrepreneurship. His teaching philosophy emphasizes practical experience, accountability, communication, and empathy, helping students connect academic concepts with real world business challenges.

Beyond his professional work, Mr. Fillet remains active with the Alzheimer’s Association, the Diocese of Bridgeport, and alumni organizations affiliated with Boston University and New York University. He is also proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army.
