Jimmy Palmer has established a successful career in commercial real estate, building upon a family legacy of development, investment, and property management that spans more than four decades. As Vice President and Principal of Palmer Properties LLC, he plays a key role in guiding the firm’s continued growth while helping shape commercial real estate projects that strengthen communities and create long term value.
Palmer Properties LLC is a family owned commercial real estate development and investment firm specializing in development, acquisitions, leasing, property management, and construction. With a reputation built over more than 40 years, the company has become a respected presence in the commercial real estate industry through its commitment to quality projects, responsible stewardship, and strategic growth.
Mr. Palmer earned a bachelor’s degree in Business with concentrations in Real Estate Finance and Construction Management, along with a minor in Legal Studies, from the University of Denver in 2006. His educational background provided a strong foundation for a career focused on commercial real estate development, investment analysis, and project execution.
Having spent nearly two decades working within the family business, Mr. Palmer has contributed to a wide range of projects and initiatives that have supported the firm’s success. Prior to assuming his current leadership role, he gained valuable industry experience as a broker with Cushman & Wakefield and earlier as a Real Estate Broker Associate with Cassidy Turley. These experiences broadened his expertise in leasing, acquisitions, investment strategy, and client relations.
Among his most notable accomplishments is his involvement in the historic preservation of The Avery Building in 2012, a project that demonstrated his commitment to balancing development opportunities with the preservation of community heritage. His work reflects a thoughtful approach to real estate that values both economic growth and long term community impact.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Palmer remains actively engaged in civic and charitable organizations. He has served for seven years as a Board Member of The Family Center/La Familia and is a Board Member of the South Fort Collins Business Association. He also supports Respite Care and maintains membership in the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Outside of business, Mr. Palmer is an accomplished certified skydiver with more than 15 years of experience and over 100 solo jumps. He also previously pursued aviation and enjoys activities that challenge him both personally and professionally.
Mr. Palmer credits much of his success to the guidance and mentorship of his father, Spiro Palmer, whose leadership and vision helped establish the foundation of the family business. Today, he continues to work closely with his father and brother, Aki, helping drive the company’s continued success and growth.
Looking ahead, Mr. Palmer plans to continue exploring strategic partnerships and collaborative opportunities that support the long term expansion of Palmer Properties LLC. He is also looking forward to beginning a new chapter in his personal life with his upcoming marriage in June 2026 and future plans to start a family.
