As Chief Executive Officer of Angels of Hands Home Health Agency Corp. in DeSoto, Texas, she continues a family legacy built on personalized, patient-centered care and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Founded in 2003 by Ms. Barnes, her mother, Emily Barnes, RN, and her sister, Angels of Hands Home Health Agency has become a trusted provider of in-home healthcare services throughout the local community. The family-owned agency assists Medicaid patients with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal preparation, comprehensive medical management, transportation to physician appointments, and caregiver placement. Under Ms. Barnes’ leadership, every care plan is tailored to the individual, ensuring clients receive the attention and support they deserve while remaining safely in their own homes.
Ms. Barnes began working with the agency at just 13 years old, gaining firsthand experience in every aspect of the family business. She earned her Licensed Vocational Nurse credential from Concord Career Institute in 2010 and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse that same year. Over time, she advanced from caregiver to administrator before assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer.
In 2024, following the passing of her mother, Emily Barnes, RN, Ms. Barnes assumed full responsibility for leading the agency and preserving the mission her family established more than two decades ago. She has continued building upon that legacy while expanding the organization’s reputation for compassionate service, personalized care, and dedication to underserved populations.
Throughout her career, Ms. Barnes has developed expertise in home health administration, in-home caregiving, caregiver placement, transportation coordination, medical management, and personalized patient care. Her leadership is driven by a hands-on approach, remaining readily available to both clients and caregivers while ensuring every patient receives exceptional service and dignity.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Barnes honors the memory of two women who profoundly shaped her life and career: her grandmother, Zettie Bradford, and her mother, Emily Barnes, RN. She credits her mother as her greatest mentor and continues to be inspired by the compassion, strength, and commitment she demonstrated throughout her career.
