Dr. Thomas D. Meade, a distinguished orthopedic surgeon and expert in knee reconstruction and sports medicine, continues to make significant contributions to the field of orthopedic care. As the host of “The Dr. Meade Show,” Dr. Meade is known for his commitment to innovative treatments and comprehensive patient care.
Dr. Meade completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1979 and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1983. He underwent rigorous orthopedic surgery training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Knee Reconstruction at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Meade specializes in knee reconstruction and sports medicine. He has also made notable advancements in kinematic knee replacement and real estate development, leading to the creation of a 300,000 sq. ft. integrated health campus.
His career includes roles as a Team Physician for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp, a Level 1 Trauma Surgeon, and founder of Medical Fitness in the Lehigh Valley. Dr. Meade is a competitive U.S. Masters swimmer, and cyclist and enjoys skiing in Vail.
Dr. Meade’s philosophy emphasizes understanding each patient’s unique needs and goals. He believes in listening closely to his patients and using his skills and experience to help them achieve their long-term and short-term objectives.
