Dr. Jan J. Stokosa, a certified prosthetist and Fellow of the American Academy of Prosthetics, is dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients who have lost limbs due to disease, trauma, or congenital anomalies. With a practice that spans local, national, and international borders, Dr. Stokosa ensures that each patient receives personalized attention, focusing on their comfort, mobility, and independence.

Dr. Stokosa earned his Bachelor of Science in physiology and biomechanics from Northwestern University and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice, having learned hands-on skills from his father, the previous owner of the practice. His approach to patient care emphasizes empathy and understanding, making each interaction meaningful.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Stokosa holds memberships in several prestigious organizations, including the International Society for Prosthetics, the Michigan Prosthetic Society, and the Michigan Rehabilitation Association. He is actively involved with local hospitals, collaborating to enhance patient outcomes through innovative prosthetic solutions.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Stokosa enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and beloved schnauzers. He acknowledges the influence of his mentor, Dr. George Koepke, who has been instrumental in shaping his career.

In loving memory of his father, Mr. Walter J. Stokosa, who instilled in him the values of compassion and interaction with patients in need of prosthetics, Dr. Stokosa continues to uphold these principles in his practice.
