Shashi Dabir is a distinguished cybersecurity expert with over 35 years of experience in engineering, analysis, and risk management. He has made significant contributions to securing critical systems for the Federal Government, Defense, and Intelligence agencies, establishing himself as a trusted leader in the field.
Mr. Dabir’s extensive background includes serving as a Cybersecurity Manager, Analyst, Architect, and Engineer, as well as an Information Systems Security Manager. In his previous role as a Cyber Risk Manager for Peraton, he acted as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) representative and a technical management resource for information system security matters. His expertise also includes developing security test plans, analyzing security test results, and creating policies to strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure.
Academically, Mr. Dabir holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from George Mason University. He has further strengthened his credentials by earning the CompTIA Project+ and Security+ certifications, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) certification from EC-Council.
Throughout his career, Mr. Dabir has aligned himself with leading security organizations, including CompTIA, EC-Council, the Federal IT Security Institute, SANS, and MITRE. He has played a pivotal role in cybersecurity thought leadership, participating in industry summits such as the IQT CEO Summit and the Cloud and Big Data Symposium.
