Winnie’s academic journey began with an Associate Degree in Nursing from El Centro College in Dallas in 1970, Charity Hospital School of Anesthesia for Nurses, New Orleans, LA, 1975, a Batchelor of Arts degree from Ottawa University in K.C., MO., 1980., and furthering her education with a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy State University, Troy AL, 1992. Winnie’s expertise as a (CRNA) has been honed through her extensive experience in anesthesia care. Her corporate practice at Anesthesia by Musa, P.C., underscores her commitment to providing high-quality care and ensuring the comfort and safety of her patients during all aspects of the surgical experience. Winnie provided crucial nursing care to hundreds of deliveries during her early years. She transitioned into anesthesia care throughout her illustrious career and led with exceptional skills. Her twenty-year military service in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps highlights her education where she attended the School of Aerospace Medicine in Flight Nursing, she also completed Squadron Officer School in 1981, Air Command and Staff College in 1985, and Air War College in 1989. She also earned numerous military decorations, including the Commendation Medal and three Meritorious Service Medals, reflecting her outstanding contributions and dedication when she retired as a USAF Major. In addition to her professional achievements, her affiliations with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and various organizations illustrate her dedication to advancing nurse anesthesia practice and supporting her local and countrywide community. Her role as a mentor, influenced by her strong Christian faith and career motivations, has been a guiding force throughout her career.
In her blessed retirement, she enjoys a variety of hobbies, including reading, cooking, and gardening, especially caring for her roses. Presently, she has been recovering from multiple major surgeries. As her health improves, she hopes to travel with her siblings by car to meet and enjoy the beautiful people of this gorgeous United States!
