Carol Wright Becker, MD, MBA, FACEP, is widely respected for her multifaceted contributions to emergency medicine, medical education, and healthcare innovation. An experienced emergency physician, she provides care across four hospitals, treating a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries while maintaining a strong commitment to patient centered care.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Wright Becker plays an active role in shaping the next generation of physicians. She teaches medical students, residents, and fellows in emergency medicine, bringing both clinical insight and practical mentorship to academic training environments.

Her impact extends beyond the emergency department through her work as a co founder of BGB Partners, a medical device innovation group. Among her notable contributions is the development of a positioning device designed to improve the accuracy and safety of lumbar punctures and spinal procedures.

Dr. Wright Becker holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with honors from the University of North Dakota and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her emergency medicine residency at George Washington University, followed by an administrative fellowship in Wyoming, and later earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from West Virginia University. She is board certified in emergency medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, where she also participates in advocacy efforts in Washington, DC.

One of the most defining chapters of her career came during her personal battle with an inoperable tumor. While undergoing chemotherapy, she continued treating patients and fulfilling her professional responsibilities. This experience strengthened her commitment to physician wellness and deepened her empathy for the patient experience, shaping her advocacy work today.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Wright Becker remains actively engaged in her community, coaching youth hockey and teaching yoga. She credits her family and friends for their enduring support throughout her personal and professional journey.
