Roxanne Ibe has established a distinguished career in residential and commercial real estate development, recognized for her expertise in adaptive reuse, architectural design, and construction management. As founder of Talisman Development Group, she leads integrated development projects that combine strategic planning, in house architectural design, and construction management to create transformative spaces for communities and investors alike.
Ms. Ibe specializes in adaptive reuse and historic property redevelopment, with extensive experience in project management, estimating, real estate finance, and full service development. Her work focuses on revitalizing properties through innovative design and thoughtful redevelopment strategies that deliver long term value while preserving architectural character and community significance.
She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, along with both a Master of Real Estate Development and a Master of Business Administration through the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University. Her educational background has provided a strong foundation in both design and business leadership.
Throughout her career, Ms. Ibe has demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial vision and leadership. She began her professional journey at a small design build construction firm, where she expanded her expertise from architectural design into estimating and project management. Early in her career, she successfully negotiated sweat equity partnerships in two multimillion dollar historic tax credit developments that continue to generate recurring dividends. In 2023, she founded Talisman Development Group to provide integrated real estate development, design, and construction management services.
Ms. Ibe’s accomplishments have earned her numerous prestigious honors and scholarships within the commercial real estate industry, including the National CREW Network Foundation Scholar Award, the Connect CRE Next Generation Award for the Chicago and Midwest Region, NAIOP-Prologis Inclusion in CRE Award, the SIOR Foundation Milred C Hanson Award, the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation Scholar Award, and the Goldie Initiative Foundation Scholar Award for Women in Commercial Real Estate.
In addition to her professional work, she is actively involved with organizations including ICSC, ULI, NAIOP, Women in Architecture, NCARB, AIA, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and the Peoria Riverfront Association. She also provides pro bono development and design services for several local nonprofits, reflecting her commitment to mentorship and civic engagement.
Outside of her career, Ms. Ibe enjoys swimming, reading, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
Looking ahead, she plans to continue building investor relationships and expanding a portfolio of proprietary developments while maintaining select consulting projects and collaborating with other developers and investors.
