Founded in 2013, Creative Art Therapies and Wellness serves communities throughout Massachusetts, with a primary focus on Western Massachusetts. Under Mrs. Shube’s leadership, the practice provides comprehensive mental health counseling, clinical art therapy services, clinician mentorship, and innovative wellness programs. Her vision has been to create an organization where both clients and clinicians feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
Mrs. Shube specializes in clinical mental health counseling, clinical art therapy, entrepreneurship, leadership, business development, program innovation, strategic partnerships, and clinician mentorship. She is particularly recognized for fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes clinician wellbeing while ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chatham University in 2004 before completing a Master of Science in Clinical Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling at Springfield College in 2007. Licensed in Massachusetts since 2011, she has established herself as a respected professional art therapist and mental health counselor.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Shube has gained experience across community mental health, substance use treatment, higher education, and private practice. In addition to leading her growing practice, she served as an adjunct professor at Springfield College, where she helped educate and prepare future mental health professionals. She has also developed innovative art-as-healing interventions for older adults living with dementia while mentoring emerging clinicians and cultivating future leaders in the behavioral health field.
