Chris Schlottman, PT, MSPT, has built a distinguished career in physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine, bringing more than 25 years of clinical experience to patients throughout the Lehigh Valley region. As a Clinical Rehab Specialist with Lehigh Valley Health Network, he combines advanced orthopedic expertise with patient centered, evidence based care focused on restoring function, reducing pain, and improving long term wellness.
Mr. Schlottman specializes in orthopedic physical therapy, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, manual therapy, spinal care, and rehabilitation for patients ages 10 and older. A board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, he utilizes advanced manual therapy techniques, including Muscle Energy Technique, while developing individualized treatment strategies that address each patient’s functional needs and recovery goals.
His expertise also extends to workers’ compensation rehabilitation and functional capacity evaluations. In addition to his work with Lehigh Valley Health Network, Mr. Schlottman provides part time on site care for East Penn Medical and Deka Batteries, helping injured employees safely progress through rehabilitation and return to function. He also participates in a spinal specialty interest group, further supporting his commitment to advanced clinical practice.
Mr. Schlottman earned a Bachelor of Science in pre physical therapy studies and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 2001. Continuing his commitment to professional growth, he is pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration at Grand Canyon University, with anticipated completion in 2027. His doctoral studies focus on healthcare administration and operational leadership, expanding his expertise beyond clinical practice into the broader management of healthcare delivery.
Since joining Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Clinical Rehab Specialist in 2023, Mr. Schlottman has served as a clinical champion supporting the onboarding of new clinicians and providing staff education and in service training. His career also includes nearly a decade with Premise Health and previous clinical practice in North Carolina and throughout Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.
Mr. Schlottman is affiliated with the American Physical Therapy Association and was selected for membership in the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society through Grand Canyon University. His accomplishments have also been recognized with the Best in Patient Care distinction from the American Health Council.
He credits his mother, Carole Schlottman, and his wife of 18 years, Angie Bustos, for their continued support. Looking ahead, Mr. Schlottman plans to complete his doctorate while continuing to advance rehabilitation practice, healthcare leadership, and clinical mentorship within his community.
