Emily Sweatman, BSN, RN, CEN, CFRN, is an experienced emergency and critical care professional with more than 20 years in emergency medical services and more than 10 years in advanced nursing practice. Ms. Sweatman has completed more than 500 flight missions during her work as a Flight Nurse and Flight Paramedic with Mercy Flight Central and LifeNet of New York. She has managed complex critical care transports involving ventilated patients and patients requiring advanced cardiac and life-support therapies.
Throughout her career, Ms. Sweatman has served as a Base Lead, Outreach Coordinator, preceptor, mentor, and educator, providing education and outreach to healthcare teams, EMS agencies, fire departments, hospitals, and schools. Her work has included CPR and emergency care education as well as strengthening emergency response systems and operational readiness.
Ms. Sweatman earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University, an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Mohawk Valley Community College, and an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Technology/Paramedic from Mohawk Valley Community College.
Her professional credentials include Registered Nurse and Paramedic licenses in New York State, Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C), Critical Care Paramedic Certification (CCEMT-P), and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician–Paramedic (AEMT-P).
