Adam Sagarwala, DO, FACOS, FSVS, RPVI — Vascular Surgeon

Shrewsbury, NJ—Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Dr. Adam Sagarwala is acknowledged as a Top Pinnacle Professional for his contributions to the field of Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Sagarwala pursued higher education at the University of Dallas where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He than attended the University of Texas at Arlington/University of Texas Southeastern Medical School receiving a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. He capped his scholarship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sagarwala completed his general surgical internship at St. Barnabas Hospital; his general surgery residency at the OhioHealth Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; and his fellowship in vascular surgery at Beth Israel Hospital.

Dr. Sagarwala is an expert in arterial and venous disease, which includes thoracic aortic aneurysms; carotid artery disease; renal artery disease; varicose veins; and peripheral artery disease. He explaianed that vascular surgeons oversee diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions in the arteries and veins. Board-certified in general and vascular surgery through the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, the doctor noted that The American Osteopathic Board of Surgery provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. He is also a registered physician in Vascular Interpretation.

Dedicated to providing the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Sagarwala is a Fellow of both the Society of Vascular Surgery and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is an active member of the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement; the American Osteopathic Association; the Eastern Vascular Society; and the Vascular Society of New Jersey.

With more than 14 years of experience in the field and three years in his current position, Dr. Sagarwala has received many accolades including Lifeline of Ohio as Physician of the Year for his outstanding collaboration in support of organ and tissue donation in 2013. The doctor is also participating in a lecture series through the Robert Wood Johnson Lunch and Learn program.

Considering his extraordinary impact in vascular surgery, Dr. Sagarwala says his philosophy of care is centered on the idea that a positive doctor/patient relationship helps his patients feel confident and secure as they work together to achieve the best possible health outcomes. He says that he strives to make his patients feel like they are a member of his family.

Aside from his professional responsibilities, Dr. Sagarwala enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married to Mrs. Amanda Sagarwala since 2019 and they have two children.
