Angie Thomas — Realtor

Midlothian, TX— Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Angie Thomas is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Platinum Business Professional for her contributions to the field of Residential Real Estate.

Ms. Thomas attended Bible Baptist Christian School in 1982 launching her higher education experience. She also completed coursework in accounting at Navarro College. The professional changed careers after experiencing a negative personal experience while shopping for a new home. She explained that she and her husband were looking at real estate hoping to buy their first home and had several bad experiences with real estate agents. These negative encounters made her realize that she could provide positive experiences for those who needed real estate services.

A licensed real estate agent, broker, and certified in short sales, Ms. Thomas began her career at REMAX Boardwalk in 1993 selling more than $1 million in real estate in her first year of business. She later moved To Century 21 Bigham realtors where they were bought out by Henry S. Miller then Coldwell Banker, she then joined Keller Williams Ellis County as a realtor in 2003. She became a launch coach with Keller Williams in Her experiences in these roles helped to develop her skills in residential real estate, listings, and short sales. She left Keller Williams in 2021 to pursue a career at City Real Estate in Midlothian, Texas and has flourished as a managing broker and broker associate. Her responsibilities include answering phone calls; managing property listings; showing properties to clients; solving issues and problems as they arise; and is also responsible for overseeing 18 real estate agents to whom she provides mentorship, guidance, and training.

A multimillion-dollar producer, Ms. Thomas has received numerous honors and accolades for her excellence in real estate during her career including the 2015 Culture Award by Keller William Ellis County; Top Producing Agent Award from Century 21; and Top Listing Agent Award. She considers the highlight of her career to be helping clients become homeowners and purchase their dream homes, and she greatly enjoys the process of building strong client relationships, as well.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Ms. Thomas is a leader in her community and has served as a board member of Realtors Unlimited in Ellis County, Texas; an ambassador to the Midlothian Chamber of Commerce; as president of the Women’s Council of Realtors in Ellis County in 2021; and is a volunteer and organizer for the local basketball league. She is quick to share that she lives her life, both professional and personal, by the mottos “God first, family second, business third” and “I work for you.” She hopes to leave a legacy as someone who always went above and beyond for her clients.

In her spare time, Ms. Thomas enjoys spending time with her husband; two children; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two sisters; and one brother. She is particularly fond of traveling with her husband, a retired Army veteran, and going to her grandchildren’s games. The real estate professional is proud that her son is a warrant officer in the U.S. Army, following in her husband’s footsteps, and is incredibly grateful to have had her husband’s support in the early days of her real estate career, especially since they spent 10 years separated due to her husband being stationed away from her at Fort Hood. Ms. Thomas also relishes her job as a babysitter, repair person, and even sometimes a marriage counselor.

When considering her great success in the field, Ms. Thomas explained that her family is an incredible source of inspiration and motivation for her in all aspects of her career. Growing up poor, she wanted to ensure that her children and grandchildren got all the opportunities that she didn’t have growing up. Her advice to young and aspiring professionals is to acknowledge the importance of having support from their families in their careers as it will be much harder to succeed in the industry without it.
