Brian Nicholas Haugen – Technical Project Manager

Brian Nicholas Haugen has established a distinguished career in information technology, earning recognition for his expertise in technical project management, enterprise infrastructure modernization, and large scale network operations. Through leadership roles across multiple organizations, he has demonstrated a strong ability to oversee complex technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen connectivity, and support scalable enterprise growth.

Mr. Haugen specializes in technical project management, operations oversight, WAN and LAN architecture, network and systems administration, infrastructure development, and scalable enterprise networking solutions. His work has included overseeing data center modernization, migration to cloud telephony systems, enterprise connectivity enhancements across hundreds of locations, Secure Access Service Edge platform deployment, lifecycle project delivery, and cross functional coordination supporting multibillion dollar investments.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, graduating summa cum laude and earning Dean’s List honors in 2018. Prior to that, he completed an Associate of Applied Arts in Network and System Administration from Grand Rapids Community College in 2016. Demonstrating exceptional academic dedication early in life, Mr. Haugen also completed 36 college credit hours prior to graduating from Hudsonville High School in 2014.

Mr. Haugen holds numerous professional certifications and technical accreditations, including CompTIA Network+, Cloud+, and A+ certifications, CompTIA Cloud Admin Professional and IT Operations Specialist designations, Cisco Introduction to Cybersecurity certification, multiple Cloudflare Zero Trust and cybersecurity accreditations, Juniper Networks technical training certifications, and Certified Tutor Level 1 recognition through the CRLA International Tutor Training Program.

Currently serving as Technical Project Manager at Scale Technology Group Inc. since 2023, Mr. Haugen continues to lead enterprise modernization initiatives and complex infrastructure deployments. Prior to this role, he served as Technical Project Manager with C3 Technology Advisors and earlier as Network Administrator and Information Technology Intern with Nucraft Furniture. His professional background also includes years of service with Grand Rapids Community College in helpdesk support, desktop support, tutoring, and academic technology assistance.

Among his most notable accomplishments, Mr. Haugen led a multi year enterprise modernization initiative overseeing infrastructure supporting multibillion dollar investments. The initiative included transforming legacy data center environments, migrating organizations to cloud based telephony systems, implementing hybrid fiber coaxial architecture with national telecommunications providers, and deploying secure centralized network management platforms. His leadership has consistently been recognized for successful project execution, operational reliability, and high client satisfaction.

Beyond his professional work, Mr. Haugen remains committed to education, mentorship, and community service. Since 2010, he has provided private tutoring in network administration and technical project management. He also volunteers with organizations including Blackall Racing in support of military veterans and provides website support for Resilience and the Lakeshore Alliance Against Domestic and Sexual Assault.

His achievements have earned several honors throughout his academic and professional journey, including two Tutor of the Year Awards through the Michael Flanagan Tutorial Scholarship at Grand Rapids Community College, the Citizenship Award at Hudsonville High School, and summa cum laude distinction at Ferris State University.

Outside of his career, Mr. Haugen enjoys golf, spending time with family, and volunteer work. He credits much of his success to the support and encouragement of his parents, Leis and Ann, as well as mentors including Mrs. Joy Essenburg and Jon Nuoffer.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Haugen plans to continue growing with Scale Technology Group Inc. while expanding his national impact as a CompTIA subject matter expert.
