Winchester, TN — David T. Piskorowski, DO, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Pulmonologist in the Medical field and in acknowledgment of his work with Southern Tennessee Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine.
A fellowship-trained, board-certified physician, Dr. Piskorowski is a committed pulmonologist with eight years of experience in medicine. He joined Southern Tennessee Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in the fall of 2020. The doctor specializes in the diagnosis and management of asthma and chronic lung disease, lung cancer screening and diagnosis, bronchoscopic evaluation of lung pathology, and aiding in the diagnosis of chronic cough.
Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system. including the nose, pharynx, and throat.
Southern Tennessee Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine provides the highest level of care available in the Tennessee Valley. Academically, Dr. Piskorowski received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Michigan State University. He attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine with the Beaumont Health System in Detroit. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Medicine Subspecialties, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified doctors who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.
Among his professional memberships and affiliations, the doctor is a proud member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Outside work, Dr. Piskorowski participates in various speaking engagements and radio programs to educate the community.
