Dr. Louis F. Clarizio — Maxillofacial Surgeon

Portsmouth, NH—Dr. Louis F. Clarizio is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Healthcare Provider in for his work in the medical field.

Dr. Clarizio earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Northwestern University in Chicago Illinois. He completed his hospital-based specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Clarizio is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a Diplomate of the American Society of Osseointegration, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Clarizio is the Owner & Operator of Louis F. Clarizio DDS PA Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center. He has been in private practice in Seacoast, New Hampshire since 1987 and currently maintains offices in Portsmouth and Somersworth. Dr. Clarizio practices oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal. Dr. Clarizio notes that this includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. “Each member of my team has been working with me for a minimum of 15 years and is critical to our practice operations and patient success stories. His research interests include biomechanics of implant design; progressive/provisional loading to alter bone physiology; implant prosthetics; bone grafting techniques; and single-stage implants.

The doctor notes that oral and maxillofacial surgeons are dental specialists who treat conditions, defects, injuries,, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. Their training involves a four-year graduate degree in dentistry and the completion of a minimum four-year hospital surgical residency program.
