With decades of experience leading world-class hospitality organizations, he continues to make a meaningful impact through executive advisory, keynote presentations, leadership workshops, and mentorship.
In 2025, Mr. Stern founded Door Frame Concepts LLC, a leadership advisory and consulting firm based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Drawing upon his extensive hospitality background, he created the company to help owners, founders, executives, and employees align three critical components of organizational success: Growth, Stake & ShareHolders, and Outcomes. Through his signature Door Frame Concept, he helps organizations strengthen culture, improve performance, and achieve sustainable results by ensuring these elements work together effectively.
Mr. Stern earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1984. Throughout his career, he has combined academic preparation with practical leadership experience to become a respected voice in hospitality, business leadership, and organizational development.
Prior to launching Door Frame Concepts, Mr. Stern served as Chief Executive Officer of Destinations by Design, where he helped lead one of the industry’s premier event design and production organizations. Operating from a state-of-the-art 150,000-square-foot facility on the Las Vegas Strip, the company became known for delivering exceptional Design, Build, Deliver services for some of the nation’s most prestigious events, including Super Bowl celebrations, luxury weddings, and large-scale corporate experiences.
His career also includes leadership roles with some of the most respected names in hospitality, including Bellagio, Four Seasons Chicago, The Standard Club, and The Pierre in New York. Throughout these positions, he developed a reputation for excellence in guest experience, operational leadership, client relations, creative event strategy, and team development.
As a Certified Meeting Professional and Meeting Industry Professional, Mr. Stern maintains active involvement within the hospitality and events industry. He is a past president of the Foundation of the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) and continues to support industry advancement through speaking engagements, mentorship, and volunteer service. His affiliations also include support for organizations such as One Night for One Drop.
Mr. Stern’s contributions to the profession have earned recognition from both Rochester Institute of Technology and NACE, reflecting his dedication to advancing the hospitality industry and developing future leaders.
Outside of his professional endeavors, he values time spent with his family and considers raising his two sons and enjoying life with his grandson among his greatest accomplishments.
