With a robust educational background, Dr. Calata earned his BS in Biology from St. Joseph’s University and his MD from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his general surgical residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a fellowship in colorectal surgery at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Illinois. Dr. Calata holds dual board certifications in general and colorectal surgery, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and surgical excellence.
