With a distinguished background in emergency room medicine and a passion for healthcare education, Dr. Albanese brings a wealth of expertise to his role as a healthcare provider and educator.
Dr. Albanese holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alvernia University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University. He furthered his education by completing a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) and obtaining post-doctoral certifications in medical education, executive leadership, and healthcare administration at the University of Lynchburg.
As a certified Physician Assistant with experience in trauma surgery, critical care medicine, internal medicine, and urgent care, Dr. Albanese is committed to ongoing professional development and staying at the forefront of medical advancements. He is affiliated with prestigious organizations such as the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants, the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Associates, the Physician Assistant Education Association, and is a former volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Randolph Township Fire Department.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Albanese is deeply involved in student wellness and education. He coordinates assessment and remediation for students at Fairleigh Dickinson University, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally. His dedication to his students has earned him recognition, including being named the New Jersey Physician Assistant of the Year in 2017 and serving as the Vice President of the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants in 2018.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Albanese finds strength and inspiration in his family. He is married to Mrs. Rachel Albanese and is grateful for the unwavering support of his parents, Darlene and John Albanese.
