Mrs. Karen K. Lowry, R.N., M.S.N., has built a distinguished career dedicated to supporting children and families navigating ADHD and educational advocacy challenges. As founder and sole owner of ADDadvocate, LLC, she provides personalized coaching, advocacy, and guidance designed to help families secure meaningful educational support and services.

Mrs. Lowry specializes in ADHD coaching, IEP and 504 advocacy, and executive functioning assistance within classroom settings. Through both virtual and in person services, she works closely with parents and schools to develop strategies that empower children academically, socially, and emotionally. Her work includes meeting attendance, advocacy planning, and individualized family support focused on helping students thrive.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of New Jersey in 1976 and later completed a Master of Science in Nursing in Pediatric Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. Her healthcare background provided the foundation for a career centered on compassionate support, education, and advocacy.

After beginning her professional journey as a nurse, Mrs. Lowry transitioned into entrepreneurship more than 27 years ago, founding ADDadvocate, LLC. Since then, she has become widely recognized for helping families understand educational systems and effectively advocate for individualized services and accommodations for their children.

In addition to her direct advocacy work, Mrs. Lowry is affiliated with organizations including the Master IEP Coach Network and CHADD, Children and Adults with ADHD. She has participated extensively in volunteer efforts, webinars, and advocacy initiatives supporting ADHD awareness and education.

Mrs. Lowry is also the author of ADHD focused publications, including ADHD From a Child’s Perspective and 365+1 Ways to Succeed with ADHD. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with honors including Influential Women 2026.
