Glendale, AZ— Dr. Kenneth Dizon is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Featured Top Cardiologist for his contributions to the field of Cardiology.
Dr. Dizon earned a BS in biology from the University of Nevada at Reno in 1990 and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. He completed his internal medicine residency at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital in Michigan. He continued working there for four years as a hospitalist and while completing his cardiology. The doctor then completed his fellowship in heart failure and transplant at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Dizon is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). According to Dr. Dizon, the AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified doctors of osteopathic medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults. He notes that cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects; coronary artery disease; heart failure; valvular heart disease; and electrophysiology. Dr. Dizon asserts that cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
Dr. Dizon practices general cardiology at the clinic and area hospitals. He notes that Phoenix Heart is the leading cardiology group in the greater Phoenix area and has five offices conveniently located in Glendale, Goodyear, Anthem, and Black Canyon City. The doctor said that since its inception in 1981, the practice has set the gold standard for cardiological care in Arizona and beyond. He provides echocardiography, stress tests, and ultrasonography. He is known for being empathetic with his patients and spends the time to ensure they understand all procedures.
Dr. Dizon is associated with American Osteopathic Association; AMA; Michigan Osteopathic Association; Heart Failure Society of America; American Society of Echocardiography; American College of Nuclear Cardiology; and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
